The Woman's Big List of Pleasurable Activities was designed to help you get the full benefits of
self-care.
Stop making excuses. Commit to doing at least one thing for yourself every day. Here are some ideas to get you started, but make sure to add your own ways that you can take care of yourself:
Extreme Self-care Activities
1. Be aware of your breathing. Make it slow and deep.
2. Watch a sunrise or sunset.
3. Rent a funny movie.
4. Go to bed early every night for a week.
5. Take a bubble bath.
6. Light a candle and turn on some soothing music.
7. Write down your feelings in a private journal.
8. Take a risk and do something you’ve always wanted to do: learn to paint, take singing lessons, learn yoga, go sky-diving.
9. Make a conscious decision to forgive yourself for past mistakes.
10. Take a mini-vacation and spend a day in your pyjamas.
11. Play with your dog.
12. Dance.
13. Practice relaxation techniques.
14. Bake cookies.
15. Wear something that has great texture and colour.
16. Give yourself permission to do something imperfectly.
17. Get a massage.
18. Spend an hour to de-clutter an area where you spend a lot of time in.
19. Meditate, pray or just be silent.
20. Write a letter to someone you love.
21. Get your creative juices flowing and paint, draw or sculpt something.
22. Spoil yourself with a manicure and/or pedicure.
23. Take a walk in the park and feed the ducks.
24. Reread a favourite novel.
25. Do a random act of kindness.
