Online Dating: The Benefits of Paid Dating Sites

Reader Post: Online dating has worked out really well for me - but only once I tried out one of the paid dating sites. Here's my story:

Having been divorced for over a year, I felt like it was finally time to get out and start dating again. I had been out with friends, but had never gone on a date. The truth is I just could not find someone I was interested in dating at a bar. I knew I needed to connect with someone who was actually looking for a relationship and not just a one night stand. I tried a few of the free online dating sites with absolutely no luck. All I found was a bunch of losers and found myself discouraged.

A friend advised me that she had some luck on one of the paid online dating sites, so I decided to join even though I did not have a lot of extra money. Thankfully, I had much better luck with this plan, and was able to make several connections with men I felt were worthy of dating. After about a month of searching, I finally found a man who met my expectations and we met for lunch in a nearby town. We hit it off immediately and it was as if we had known each other forever. We talked for hours and found that we had a lot in common. I could not wait to see him again!

As of this moment, we have been in an online relationship for 6 months and I do believe I have found the man I will marry! I know that we would have never met if I had not joined that dating site and given online dating a go. I am thankful that I made the decision. I found that a great benefit to online dating is having the opportunity to chat and get to know each other before meeting in real life.
