Interview with Paula Saardchit

1. Paula, congratulations on an inspiring website that truly celebrates women's sexuality. Tell us how you became interested in the female sexuality field.

Thank you for the compliment on my website. Developing the site has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. It's been a great learning experience in technology and, in addition, I've had lots of positive feedback on how educational and informative it is (which was my goal in the first place). I wanted women to have a credible resource that could answer some of their sexuality-based questions. I think that's important.

2. What are your ideas on how women can make the most of their sexuality?

My experience through meeting women at my parties is that they really just want and need to be educated about different aspects of their sex lives. So many women are starved for accessible information and/or someone to discuss these ideas with. Sometimes just hearing that others are having the same experience as them, validates that they aren't strange, perverted or in some way different from most woman.

3. Please tell us more about in-home parties for women.

In-home parties are the most exciting part of my job! Women get to laugh, interact and talk about sex in a comfortable, safe environment with their friends. There is still a large percentage of women who won't go into a "romance" store because it can be so intimidating and overwhelming. In-home parties offer them a "confidential" alternative in a fun, yet educational atmosphere. Even if they did go into a store, they'd see the products, but wouldn't get the explanations they need on how the products can enhance their intimate relationships. So, in this respect, what I do is very valuable to them.

4. What seems to be the most popular sex toys for women and why?

Probably the dual-action toys, which are the rabbit-type toys that were featured on the show "Sex and the City" several years ago. That wonderful show actually did a lot to bring sexuality-based issues and the use of sex toys into the mainstream of women's consciousness. Women started becoming very curious and wanted to see what the "buzz" was all about. The show made the idea of owning a sex toy much more acceptable and "normal". I certainly saw the sales of these type of vibrators go through roof after those episodes of the show. What a wonderful break-through for women!

5. Is there anything else you'd like to share with the women of the world.

I'd just like to suggest that women should always be educating themselves about their bodies and knowledge/attitudes about their sexuality. Even if a woman is single, I believe it's important to understand your body and what makes you tick. After all we are all unique and what one of us enjoys, another might not. Once you understand yourself and are comfortable with your body and your sexuality, it's only going to make your intimate relationships more satisfying.
