Body Language when Falling in Love

Body Language

So you want to become an expert on a man's body language when falling in love with you? Great! Men are sometimes pretty hopeless at telling you how they feel, but their body language never lies.

If you want to understand a guy's body language when falling in love, it makes flirting just that little bit easier. These are the subtle clues to look for:

Body Language Clues

1. He mirrors you

If he really likes you, he may start mirroring you. This can range from a similar body position to making the same gestures, or even using the same language as you. When a man imitates you, he's in effect saying, 'Look, we are the same.'

2. He is touchy-feely

If he starts touching you, even if it is just an 'accidental brush,' he is signalling intimacy. Other signs to look for are touching of safe body parts, such as your arms or back.

3. He is up close and personal

If a guy is romantically interested in you, he will initially turn his whole body towards you, facing you squarely. He will then start leaning in to create an intimate space. When he starts moving into your personal space, he feels comfortable enough to leave the 'social space' behind. This signals a desire for more intimate contact.

4. He has bedroom eyes

Extended eye contact is always a sure indicator of interest.

5. He grooms and preens

Like animals, men preen themselves when they want to impress. If he brushes his hair with his hand, straightens his tie or polishes his glasses, his body language is saying that he is making himself look as good as he can for you.

There are also some clear-cut signs that he is just not into you. Read on...

body language when falling in love

He's just not into you if....

... he maintains a distance of at least four feet from you.

... he stands at an oblique angle facing you, with one shoulder in line with your face.

... he's too chatty. If his pace is too quick and he's just making small talk, he may be trying to keep it at a friendship level.
