The Twitter Club

If you have a website or blog to promote, we would love for you to join The Twitter Club.

Do you, like I do, believe there's strength in numbers? And if you do,

- How would you like your web site, blog, product or service to be promoted to up to 10 lists of followers every day?

- How would you like to have more interesting things to tweet about every day?

Sounds like win-win?

Most people join Twitter as a means to promote their own web site, blog, product or service through network marketing. Once you start twittering away, there's a good chance you'll find that it's not only a whole heap of fun, it's actually very good for business too.

I've only been Twittering since the beginning of March 2009, with staggering results:

-I daily connect with a growing group of wonderful people on a personal and a business level.

-After the first three weeks on Twitter, traffic on my website doubled! My traffic is still growing exponentially day by day.

-I have secured new links to my website.

-I have received contributions from followers that lead to new content on my website.

-I have been able to pay it forward by adding businesses to my Web Friends page and plugging their sites as a matter of course.

All of this got me thinking...

Let's form a Twitter Support Club

This is what I envision:

1. Register your interest to be part of The Twitter Club. You can do this by submitting your details at the bottom of this page.

2. Leave a request/comment on the page of a few of the other registered members of The Twitter Club to form part of your personal support group (You can find registered users at the bottom of this page). Depending on how much time you spend online, I suggest about 10 people at a time. You can also stay in touch through @replies and DM's of course!

3. Subtly and informally promote each other's site, blog, product or service by tweeting about it at least once a day, at least five times per week.

4. DM each other if you have a new page, article, product or service that could be promoted.

5. Switch to 10 other registered members on the first and the 15th of each month. This will not only keep your list of followers satisfied with fresh information, it will also expose your own work to 10 new lists of followers every fortnight.

Just imagine that.... for 10 tweets per day about your supporters' web sites, blogs, products or services, you get promoted to 10 other lists of followers per day. And... if you switch on the first of every month, you get promoted to 240 other lists of followers per year.

Pretty neat, eh?

Who to Promote?

Who-ever you want to.

You don't have to promote anyone in the same niche if you're concerned about the competition.

You also don't have to promote anyone who is in a niche that you have no interest in.

Just keep in mind that behind every conventional, funny, weird, interesting, strange avatar on Twitter, is a real person who's trying to make it in a dog-eat-dog world. Just like you and I. So.... whatever you do, be kind.

What kind of Tweets are Suitable?

- Reading: (URL)

- Interesting stuff! :(URL)

- Anne, love your new article! (URL)

- Great information on __________ : (URL)

or any other positive feedback with a link to the relevant page.

It would also, of course, be great to recommend each other to Mr Tweet, and support each other on #followfridays.

Also, actively grow your list of followers.

The larger our lists are, the greater the potential for cross-promotion.

Lastly, I suggest that you consider a link exchange with your supporters. We all know Google loves quality links, and The Twitter Club can lead to whole lot of link love!

When you submit your details, a page is built for you as soon as I get notified of the submission. You can then re-visit to leave comments, suggestions and feedback. Please comment on other members' pages as well. We would love for this to be a supportive community.
